Brookgreen Gardens 
Brookgreen Gardens is one of the most beautiful gardens in South Carolina. Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington originally owned the property that became Brookgreen Gardens in the early 1930s. In 1931, South Carolina designated the area as a non-profit organization to showcase the native flora of the Lowcountry and the southeast. From the beginning, Brookgreen Gardens has aimed to collect, exhibit, and preserve American figurative sculpture, native plant life, and native animals of the southeast.
